Pack,
Paddle and Speckled Trout
Edwin
W. Mills was born in 1899. He grew up in Hamilton, Ontario and served
as a pilot with the Royal Flying Corps in World War 1. He loved
to tell stories, and this book is a narrative of his experiences
in search of speckled trout in Northern Ontario.
White
water! What river travel could possibly be complete without it.
The little rapids and their gentle murmering song, the thunderous
surge of the great rivers in their downward plunge, the narrow chute
brawling down into a deep foamy pool. The cast, and beneath the
scum, the exhilarating rise!
If
you have ever wondered what it was like to travel the rivers of
Northern Ontario during the 1930's to the 1940's, here is your chance.
